Heart Palpitations

Lea / October 2, 2025

Some women experience episodes where their heart feels like it is beating quickly, strongly, or irregularly during menopause. These palpitations are often linked to hormonal changes, particularly the decline in estrogen, which can affect the cardiovascular system.

Approaches:

Noting when palpitations occur can help identify any patterns or triggers, such as caffeine, stress, or certain medications.

Practicing relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or gentle yoga, may help calm the heart rate.

Limiting caffeine and avoiding stimulants can also be supportive.

If palpitations are frequent, prolonged, or accompanied by chest pain or dizziness, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider for further evaluation.
