We’re moving to ConsentKeys authentication to give you something no other period tracker can offer:

guaranteed privacy. Your cycle data, symptoms, and health information are deeply personal.

You already know that most health apps monetize user data through advertisers, data brokers, and analytics

companies. You’ve probably also considered the risk: when your email and health data sit together in one

database, even well-intentioned companies create a target for cyber attacks and data breaches.

By using ConsentKeys as our only sign-in method, we’re eliminating that risk entirely. Menotracker will never

have access to your email address or personal identifying information. We can’t sell data we never receive, and

we can’t leak what we don’t store.

ConsentKeys is a privacy-first authentication provider specifically designed to protect your identity. Unlike

traditional sign-in systems that collect and store your email address, ConsentKeys authenticates you without

Menotracker ever seeing your personal contact information.

ConsentKeys uses magic link authentication:

  1. You simply enter your email
  2. You receive a secure link and click it to sign in.
  3. No passwords to remember or manage.
  4. ConsentKeys doesn’t store your name or email

Think of it as a secure intermediary that verifies you are you, without revealing who “you” are to us.

You’ll keep all your existing data. When you next open Menotracker , you’ll see your current email address

displayed. To link your existing data to ConsentKeys, you’ll need to log out and then sign in with ConsentKeys

using that same email address. ConsentKeys will send you a magic link to that email, simply click the link to

complete the authentication. Your cycle data, notes, and settings will then be securely linked to your

ConsentKeys identity. Nothing will be lost, we’re simply changing the lock on the door , not the room behind it.

Yes, you’ll create a ConsentKeys account, but this is a one-time setup that takes less than two minutes. Once

complete, you’ll use ConsentKeys to sign in to Menotracker just as easily as before, but with far greater privacy

protection.

No. After the transition, Menotracker will not have access to real name or email address. ConsentKeys handles

authentication without sharing your name, email or other identifying information with us. This is the core of our

privacy commitment: we can’t share, sell, or leak data we never have access to in the first place.

Traditional period trackers can, and many do, sell aggregated user data, email lists, or targeted advertising

profiles. Even with the best intentions, if a company has your data, it’s vulnerable. With ConsentKeys:

• We don’t store your name or email – We can’t share what we don’t have

• No third-party tracking – No advertisers can build profiles of your health patterns

• Legal protection – Even if served with a subpoena, we cannot provide identifying information we don’t possess

• No data breaches of personal info – Your email and identity aren’t in our database to be compromised

Absolutely. Your health data remains encrypted and stored securely within Menotracker . The only change is how

you prove you’re authorized to access it. ConsentKeys verifies your identity without exposing it to us.

Your ConsentKeys login is simply your email address, the same one you use for Menotracker . Since ConsentKeys

uses magic link authentication, there are no passwords to forget. As long as you have access to your email

account, you can always sign in by requesting a new magic link.

No. After the initial setup, signing in with ConsentKeys is just as quick as any other modern sign-in method. You

may actually find it more convenient, as ConsentKeys can be used across any services that support it.

ConsentKeys is built specifically for privacy-conscious applications. Their business model is charging services

like Menotracker for authentication, not collecting or selling user data. They’re incentivized to protect your

privacy, not monetize your information. It’s an independent third party with no access to your health data and

no interest in tracking your personal information.

To maintain our privacy guarantee, all users will need to transition to ConsentKeys authentication. We

understand change can be inconvenient, but this transition is essential to delivering on our promise: a period

tracker that truly protects your privacy. Accounts that don’t complete the transition will eventually lose access.

As a result of our risk assessment regarding the current American administration and the US CLOUD Act, we

have deemed using American tech services such as Google or Apple login a security risk to our users, and the

move to ConsentKeys is the best solution we could find to resolve this.

For existing users: When you first open Menotracker after the update, you’ll see your current email address.

You’ll need to log out and log back in with ConsentKeys using that same email to complete the transition. Once

you’ve signed in with ConsentKeys, you can export your complete cycle history just as you always could. Your

data is yours, and we’ve always supported data export at any time.

No. ConsentKeys authentication is free for Menotracker users. This is an investment we’re making in your

privacy.

We understand these concerns, especially for women tracking their cycles in regions where reproductive

healthcare is under legal scrutiny. By design, Menotracker with ConsentKeys authentication:

• Cannot provide authorities with your email or identity (we don’t have it)

• Cannot link your health data to your real-world identity

• Creates a meaningful barrier between your private health tracking and your public identity While no system is perfect, this architecture provides significantly stronger protection than traditional period

trackers.

We’re here to help you through this transition. You can reach our support team at [support contact method],

though please note that for privacy reasons, we won’t be able to look up accounts by email address after the

ConsentKeys transition is complete.
